null The Lightning was one of our first major successes in the ultralight category, winning a Backpacker Editors' Choice award in 24. Freestanding, simple to pitch, the Lightning weighs a scant three pounds, 15 ounces.
Clip-Locs and Swift Clips pull up to the x-pole design, meaning you can pitch the whole gig in seconds. With a nine-square-foot vestibule and plenty of mesh, it's comfortable, organized, and you won't get annoying condensation in the morning. DAC Featherlite NSL poles save weight without sacrificing strength, and the 4-denier fly sheds heavy rain for seasons to come.
The Lightning is an ultra light 2 person tent with lots of mesh for great ventilation and stargazing. The SuperSeal floor combines the taut pitch of a catenary cut and the waterproofness of a bathtub floor. Also includes a generous 9 sq. ft. vestibule attached to the ultra light silicone impregnated fly with a urethane undercoating for the ultimate in weather resistance. Not only is the tent light but the 2 equal length poles and all clip design make set up fast and worry free.
